Layman's way to reading FanFic On your iPhone

Ok so I have a lot of people asking me how I read fanfic or PDF files on my phone....so here is the layman's guide!!


- Download FanFiction Downloader for your PC HERE
- Download Stanza for Desktop HERE


- Once they are downloaded and installed ( Stanza will save Lexcycle Stanza) Open up Fanfiction Downloader.




Step 1.
Now Type in the URL for the FIRST chapter of the fic you want. For this walk-through I am using my drabble as an example.

Step 2:  Click Continue

Step 3: Click Continue.

Step 4:Click Download.

Step 5. When you hear the 'beep' That means that your file has downloaded. It should have downloaded as a word document. Now close FanFiction downloader and open up LexCycle Stanza.Click File, then 'Open File'.

Step 6 : Browse to where you saved the word doc of your FF file on your PC.Click open.

Step 7:  Your Stanza should now look like this:

Step 8: Now go to File and Click 'Save As'

Step 9 : When save this is how it should come up, with the 2 little stars and a dot. This means it is an epub file. It must be saved as an epub file in order to be read on the Stanza app on your phone.

Step 10 : Go to itunes. Make sure you have the Stanza app downloaded on your phone.If not go to app store and get it.


 (Follow the arrows on the diagram for this step). Click on your phone.Then go across to APPS. Click then scroll down to apps Click on 'Stanza'.Then a list of stanza docs should come up. Underneath then there should be a add button. Click that.

Step 11 : Browse on your computer to where you saved your epub file.Click open. (Make sure it's the epub file NOT the original downloaded word file).

Step 12: The epub file should now be in your list of stanza docs.Click Sync. You dont have to do this....but I always do just to be sure.

And there it is peeps, the layman's way to transferring fanfic to your phone/itouch. Im assuming this can be adapted to other phones/kindles/readers. The beauty of the Stanza app is that you can also read PDF's and word doc's on it, but I've found that an epub file is the best way for my eyes to read it.


The only downside to reading like this is the inability to review. So remember: So dont forget to go back to the fic link and REVIEW!! ( I really must take own advice as I tend to forget...A LOT!!!)
